THE GHANA CONSERVATION AND HERITAGE TRUST SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH GTDC
The Ghana Conservation and Heritage Trust engaged the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC) in discussions to address matters of mutual interest in the tourism sector.
The two parties discussed areas of tourism development that are of interest to potential investors for development, including the building of Tree houses at Kakum National Park for accommodation.
They also discussed the need to use seminars, workshops, and symposiums in raising awareness of the Trust’s mandate, its role, and its partnership with Kakum National Park. This initiative aims to enhance the Trust's visibility and ensure that people recognise its existence and contribution.

On his part, Prof. Kobby Mensah introduced some of the products GTDC is developing and the emerging technologies being introduced to preserve Ghana’s history from one generation to another. He talked about the Online Tourism Platform (OTP), the Ghana Tourism Marketplace, which will feature a dedicated section profiling all tourism sectors, such as Conservation, while integrating tourism-related vendors in a unified system. The CEO concluded by sharing insights into the GTDC’s digitisation initiatives.
