The Roaming Museum Tour

The Roaming Museum Tour is an innovative, mobile cultural and historical experience that brings Ghana’s rare archaeological findings directly to schools, businesses, religious groups, and communities.

It features artifacts from significant excavation sites such as the Marine Drive enclave, Keta, and other historic locations. Artifacts will be beautifully displayed in secure, transparent glass casings mounted on a mobile museum unit. A knowledgeable guide accompanies the exhibit, narrating the history, significance, and cultural context of each artifact.

The Roaming Museum Tour is a collaboration between GTDC, The Ghana Museum and Monument Board and the Department of Archaeology at the University of Ghana to democratise access to Ghana’s heritage, promote historical education, and encourage creativity and cultural appreciation among Ghanaians. This will help reduce occupational stress, facilitate imagination and creativity of staff, customers, students and people who get the opportunity to experience the Roaming Museum Tour.
